What not to do when trying to sell your house

There are lots of lists out there about what to do when you are selling your home. Here is my list of what NOT to do when you have your home for sale.
 

• Let dogs run loose.  Not everyone is a dog lover
• Keep a vacant house cold. People will exit a cold house quickly
• Be home during a showing. People will feel uncomfortable when the owners are home.
• Talk to the buyers if you happen to be home. Don’t reveal your motivation for selling.
• Cook smelly food just before a showing. Some people are sensitive to smells.
• Try to change the buyers appointment. Make it easy for the buyers to see your house.
• Lie about defects you know about. This can only lead to bad things happening.
• Only have an exterior picture of your house. Many people skip houses that do not have interior pictures.
• Overprice your home. Obviously        
• Forget to flush the toilet when you leave for a showing. Again, obviously.
